Saving time by using technology to automate redundant tasks, or simply utilizing technology to be more productive in the same amount time.
Digitization
Getting rid of paper when possible. Hardcopy documents are rarely an efficient means of business and using digital forms and information references greatly improves the Town's capacity to service the public.
Improved Data
By establishing databases and utilizing proper schemas (or data structures) we can keep data and information consistent and complete. Better structure makes for better records.
Public Information
A good application provides a means for public information to be easily and readily accessible as well as very understandable, while using maps, graphics and text to convey ideas and information.
Community Engagement
Increasingly common are tools that allow residents to actively participate in governmental decision making, asset management, quality control, and more. We want to provide tools that make the public feel more ownership and influence over its town.
